The Executive Committee of the UKPCCI

UK and have worked hard and intend to continue working tirelessly
for the benefit of both countries. This Chamber has the honour
of being recognized by both the governments of Pakistan and
the UK. This was established by a small group many years ago
without many resources to actively carry out desired objectives.
The Chamber has grown worthy of recognition only due to tireless
efforts by its members and the Executive Committees of the
past and the present. The vital component which kept it moving
was its member's affiliation with Pakistan and their commitment
to help their Pakistani brothers in the United Kingdom to
set a precedent among the existing entrepreneurs and become
a symbol of pride for Pakistan.
The Chamber has been led by people
with legendary business backgrounds who came with the rich
exposure necessary to facilitate progress. The largest Overseas
Pakistani investor of Pakistan Sir Anwar Pervez OBE of Bestway
Group was also one of many successful and visionary businessmen
who founded the Chamber.
UKPCCI arranges functions for overseas
delegations & government officials visiting London and
creates a platform to facilitate trade with the Overseas Pakistani
Business community. The Chamber is playing an active role
in lobbying through its members and their affiliates in the
UK and EU to support the Government of Pakistan on issues
such as the withdrawal of antidumping duty on bed linen and
increased market access for Pakistan. The Chamber last year
submitted a bid to the EU under Invest Asia Programme for
funding a visit of 20 members delegation from the UK to educate
exporters in Pakistan in the fields of Health, IT, Construction,
Pharmaceuticals, Environment, Marketing & Media etc. to
enable them to get involved in European Union markets. The
Chambers undertakes to continue its efforts to enlarge its

The Chamber is run by a professional
team of 15 Directors with its headquarters in London, and
has recently established Chapters at Scotland and Manchester.
The Chamber has seen phenomenal growth in membership and plans
to have its recognition on real national level by opening
its Chapters at Birmingham and Bradford as well. The Chamber
offers opportunities to network with visiting Ministers, senior
Bureaucrats, professionals and businessmen delegations.
The Chamber in 2005 composed a large
delegation of businessmen, importers, professionals and investors
for Expo 2005. The visit proved most productive and some members
placed buying orders of substantial value of textiles imports
while others could establish good business contacts. The Chamber
on return gratefully acknowledged the support received by
the Government of Pakistan and the untiring support of the
Pakistan High Commission in London.
Like last year, the Chamber has composed
a strong delegation for EXPO 2006 from London, and Manchester.
The delegation represents mainly Textile sector, Food business,

bright future with its key member's dedication to pass the
